Two sons of farmer, Devchandbhai Patel and younger brother Hirabhai Patel established this firm during 1959. This firm achieved reputation as just trading firm of Cumin, Fennel, Dill, Fenugreek, Mustard, Psyllium, Sesameseed etc. crops at UNJHA market ( Asia’s biggest agri. Commoditiy market).
After 1982, the entry of their sons (second generation), considering market demand, they diverted this firm into processing as well as trading firm by installing first seeds cleaning plant during 1987 and started exporting these spices to abroad.
Ever changing market demand for clean spices with high purity, hygienic, food safety, had driven D.A.PATEL to errect latest BUHLER make cleaning plant during 1994 to match ASTA & other EU cleanliness specifications for seed spices. Further, during 2003 D.A.PATEL added COLOR SORTEX Z3V model from SORTEX Ltd, UK to their processing unit. Now D.A.PATEL also have mechanically processed Sesame Hulling plant with Fluid bed drying system in same premises.
D.A.PATEL proud to be first & only having these latest facilities within total 30,000 sq.feet area at UNJHA. Recently all facilities have been HACCP certified.
Hence, we always try to match market and customer’s demand, therefore, we are planning to establish latest spices powder plant and steam sterilization plant.
